The founder of Empowered 4 Impact which is my own community development agency founded in 2018 when I began my self-employed career as a Community Development consultant contracted to a non-profit organization but through my own evolution my business has since morphed into what I do here today as a strategist for global and local Manitoba leaders of small businesses, community non-profits and municipalities who have people and community at the heart of everything they do.
As a leader myself, I've spent most of my life helping people and building community. So for those who know me, it's no surprise to them that I've built the business that I have today and that I'm doing what I am which is my dream come true to say the least. As a professional, I have a bachelors degree in Community Development and Recreation Management from the University of Manitoba, I have 10+ years in the community non-profit sector as well as beautiful mix of self-taught entrepreneurship, community centric marketing, energy coaching and years of lived small business experience.
At the core of who I am as an individual, as a wife, a dog mom, RV traveller and rural Manitoba living enthusiast, I live to solve problems, to blend down to earth logic & heart centred empathy, to be creative, to support people in overcoming life's challenges and to think outside the box in everything I do in my services that I've designed to be what I once needed as I progressed in my community building journey. So while curiosity may have almost killed the cat as the saying goes and once drove my parents crazy, curiosity now serves as my strongest ability and allows me to think/see very big picture, to drill into the heart of problems and it gives me the fuel to ask the questions that no one thinks to ask so that I can create strong & stable foundations within the individuals and organizations that I support.
